9/19-24/2015 – David Somali-Chow – I took a three-day Great White Shark Expedition diving trip to Guadalupe Island, Mexico. I have included photos of divers in the cages to share what the experience is like for anyone who would like to safely photograph Great White Sharks. I have used monochrome because I feel it better shows the “gray” of sharks and the feeling of darkness underwater. • Day 1 Sept 19 (Sat): Group bus depart from Ocean Safari 345pm, arrive Ramada Inn San Diego airport. Coach transfer to Ensenada, Mexico 730pm. Board the first class yacht Explorer Belle Amie 930pm, set sail to Guadalupe Island late evening.
• Day 2 Sept 20 (Sun): 22-hours along rugged Baja coastline, evening arrival shark infested water.
• Day 3-5 Sept 21-23 (Mon-Wed): Unlimited Great White Shark dives down to 40 feet from 630am to 630pm daily. Set sail to Ensenada Wednesday late afternoon.
• Day 6 Sept 24 (Thur): Arrive Ensenada 130pm, farewell to Explorer Belle Amie, coach transfer back to San Diego, arrive 6pm. Group bus transfer back to Ocean Safari before 9pm.
